The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) is a non-government, not-for-profit industry-led and industry-managed organization, which plays a role in industrial development processes. 

PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) has been working as a catalyst for the promotion of Indian industry, trade and entrepreneurship for the past 117 years. It is a forward looking, proactive and dynamic PAN-India apex organization. As a partner in progress with industry and government, PHDCCI works at the grass roots level with strong national and international linkages for propelling progress, harmony and integrated development of the Indian economy.

PHDCCI, acting as the “Voice of Industry & Trade” reaching out to more than 1,500,000 large, medium and small industries, has forged ahead leveraging its legacy with the industry knowledge across multiple sectors to take Indian Economy to the next level.

At the global level, we have been working with the Embassies and High Commissions in India and overseas to bring in the International Best Practices and Business Opportunities.

PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, established in 1905, is a proactive National Apex Chamber working at the grass-root level and with strong national and international linkages. The Chamber acts as a catalyst in the promotion of industry, trade and entrepreneurship. PHD Chamber, through its research-based policy advocacy role, positively impacts the economic growth and development of the nation. PHD Chamber is more than an organisation of the business community, as it lives by the chosen motto “In Community’s Life & Part of It” and contributes significantly to socio-economic development and capacity building in several fields.

PHDCCI is a National Apex Chamber having its international office in Bahrain for 6 GCC countries, with 1,300,000 companies as its members base, a total focus on the development of small and medium businesses. PHDCCI has co-opted National and International Industry Associations and Organisations through over 100 MoUs signed between the parties.

One of the latest initiatives of the chamber is their PHD-MSME Mentoring and Guidance Centre, which render assistance to MSMEs through policy advocacy for implementation of best practices, bringing "ease of doing business" , providing information and mentoring support and establishing linkages between MSME members and Inputs/service providers. The Centre would also facilitate: Technological Advancement in MSMEs through effective Industry, Government Research Partnerships; Carryout programs for improvement in productivity and efficiency of MSMEs; Guidance and Mentoring to First Generation Entrepreneurs for new Enterprise Creation. 

Likewise, the PHD-MSME Mentoring and Guidance Centre play a pivotal role in improving the entire ecosystem for the promotion and growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in India and Internationally. The Centre will provide Information, Knowledge, Mentoring, Policy Advocacy and Value added services to its members.
