John Williams

John Williams is a bestselling author of three books translated into ten languages and his advice has been featured in numerous newspapers & magazines. John’s entire career has been in innovation – Senior Managing Consultant at Deloitte, a special effects software developer for Disney, and independent consultant to the BBC. 

He is the founder of The Ideas Lab, has run one-of-a-kind sell-out events for creative people in London for 12 years, and created programmes with 1000s of global participants making 100s of 1000s of pounds.

Williams started his career as a software developer in special effects for TV and film, then moved into streaming video and then became a senior managing consultant at one of the largest consultancies in the world. 

He left to work as an independent consultant advising broadcasters in several countries on technical strategy, then after a couple of years qualified as a coach, took seven years of professional development courses in psychotherapy and counselling and shifted completely to helping people launch creative ideas and make money out of them. His ideas and projects have been featured in The Times, The Daily Mail, The Financial Times, Marketing Week and other magazines, and BBC Radio.
