Cambridge Judge Business School traces its roots back to its establishment in 1990 as the Judge Institute for Management Studies. Prior to its founding, management studies had been taught at the University of Cambridge since 1954. The school received generous donations from Sir Paul and Lady Judge, as well as the Monument Trust, enabling the construction of a dedicated building for the business school. Architect John Outram oversaw the project, and the building was completed in 1995, officially inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II.

In 2005, the school underwent a name change, becoming the Judge Business School, shedding the "Institute of Management Studies" from its name. Later in 2010, it adopted its current title, Cambridge Judge Business School. Alongside the name change, the school also revised its logo to reflect its affiliation with the University of Cambridge, now reading "University of Cambridge Judge Business School."

Cambridge Judge Business School owes much of its success to its benefactor, Sir Paul Judge, whose support and contributions were instrumental in its development. Sadly, Sir Paul Judge passed away in 2017, leaving behind a lasting legacy at the school. His vision and generosity continue to shape the school's reputation and impact on the business world.

Today, Cambridge Judge Business School stands as a prominent institution within the University of Cambridge, offering world-class management education and research. Its impressive building, opened by Queen Elizabeth II, serves as a hub for learning, innovation, and collaboration. Cambridge Judge has a goal of raising the bar on business action for sustainability – developing a plan to transform the global economy. They plan to do this through leadership development and innovative collaborations with leaders in the business world. The business school promotes networking amongst the student body and encourages them to utilize the value of their alumni base and club offerings. The Cambridge Business School Club is a student-run club promoting partnerships between industries and students through creating interactive learning environments, events, and networking opportunities. The Full-time MBA Program is 12 months and follows the traditional path of Cambridge University’s teaching style of tutorial discussion and debate.  The program consists of workshops, seminars, lectures, discussion groups, and team and individual projects.  During the program, students will also complete activities during the summer, such as a case study, individual project, or internship, and up to four different consulting projects, two of which are live projects with real clients.  The program overview below lays out the schedule (provided by the Cambridge Judge website).

The Executive MBA Program is a 20-month program for senior executives looking to develop stronger leadership skills.  The program focuses on both hard and soft skills and provides practical, relevant business knowledge. The program occurs for 16 weekends and four week-long blocks to make it easier for executives to fit it into their schedules.  The terms schedule is 1.5 years, with summer classes half-way through.  A Virtual Learning Environment is also provided so executives can work away from home. Cambridge Judge also offers an Advanced Leadership Program open to executives.  This three week general management and leadership program offers executives discussions with top faculty members and outstanding speakers from Cambridge Judge Business School and Cambridge University. The program focuses on three different subjects:

2. Taking the lead through innovation
3. Leadership into action

The program also uses the latest e-reader tablet devices for a much more technologically advanced learning environment.  It makes for easy and high-speed access to course materials and communication between faculty and participants.

The Cambridge Program for Sustainability Leadership (CPLS) works with business, government and civil society to train civic leaders how to meet the needs of society and become more globally aware. The CPLS is a series of seminars and case studies that target board members, Chief Executives, and individuals high up in organizations. The programs focus is on profit and growth and is aimed to build capacity in senior leaders to:

1. Understand the changing social, environmental and economic context in their business environment
2. Set organizational strategy on profitability and growth with limited resources
3. Shape their organizations culture and learn how to engage employees
4. Identify commercially-relevant responses
5. Learn to act on sustainability

The program is fully customizable and consists of week-long seminars, half-day board level briefings, and case studies addressing everyday business management situations. The program was designed by a team experienced in board education, C-suite executive education and senior leaders’ strategic development. The program is customized through understanding the organizations needs, producing an inspiring and effective learning journey, developing a top-of-the-line program, and constantly reflecting and refining the details of the program.
