SDA Bocconi School of Management was created in 1971 with a commitment to research and education and contributing significantly to the development of industries in Italy and abroad. The business school holds a triple-crown in accreditations from the AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. SDA Bocconi School of Management provides students with up-to-date information and an international network to give them the highest quality of education. SDA Bocconi has a mission to contribute to the development of individuals and organisations by creating and disseminating innovative managerial knowledge.
Their business school motto is: “Empowering lives through knowledge and imagination”. The business school targets those who have work experience and it has an integrated approach to research, teaching and training. The business school focuses on internalisation and providing assistance to students, companies, institutions and economic systems that are developing economically or globally.
The main goal of the educational experience at SDA Bocconi is to enhance and build upon the traditional managerial skills that were originally developed by the Universita Bocconi. One unique aspect of the SDA Bocconi is the “Learning Lab”, a high-tech and high-touch experiential facility that explores new approaches to education and collaborates with faculty to develop management simulations, role-playing games, web-based solutions and interactive personal assessments. The lab is designed to engage participants in real-world situations and encourage them to apply their newly learned skills.

The programme contains events like an entrepreneurial project and summer internship and covers business topics in the areas of accounting, economics, quantitative methods, planning, innovating, investing and leadership. The Executive MBA Programme is a 21-month, general management programme delivered in Italian and gives executives the opportunity to develop new skills and progress in their current careers. The programme requires a high level of commitment and covers a wide range of theoretical models in the format of lectures, case studies, group projects, simulations and experiential learning techniques. The programme’s focus is to enable executives to bring value to a team and lead, be more confident in making decisions and communicating, and be able to operate across a wide-range of technical areas of management. It is a modular programme that has four stages:
There are six weekly class modules and nine long-weekends for a total of 60 days of in-class activities, alongside 100 long-distance learning sessions. The programme is meant to prepare executives to take on a senior role within their organisation by strengthening communication, leadership and decision-making skills. The programme requires students to have five to six years of work experience and be at least 30 years of age.
