Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego, is a professional school that is driven to deliver research, development and innovation to the global economy and businesses of the world while providing top-tier management education.  The business school has a mission to educate ethical leaders for innovation-driven organisations and they hold the values of innovation, impact, collaboration, integrity and risk-taking. It features four large seminar rooms with theater seating, smaller classrooms and multipurpose rooms, conference rooms, a library and student centre, the Sony Electronics Suite and the Executive Development Suite.

The Full-time MBA Programme immerses students in innovation and is designed to inspire their vision and give them knowledge to move new ideas into the market.  The curriculum is designed to help students develop the fundamental skills necessary for success in an innovation-driven, global market.  The programme focuses on enhancing leadership skills, innovation and entrepreneurial thinking and is two years long. The core curriculum delivers a strong management foundation and encourages classroom discussion, collaboration and peer interactions.  The capstone course, “Lab to Market”, is a unique, action-learning course that forces students to utilize their core skills in a personal project.  Also, study groups are assembled so that each member brings something unique to the group and creates a diverse environment that each member must function in.  Below is a diagram of the programme schedule, provided by Rady.

The Center for Executive Development offers programs in a non-degree format in the areas of open-enrollment, leadership assessment, and customised programmes. The Open-enrollment Programmes are designed to strengthen the business skills of executives and tailor to the needs of companies in start-up or growth periods.  The courses are formatted from half-day to three-day courses and cover the areas of:

• Entrepreneur Development

The Center for Leadership Assessment provides opportunities for leadership candidates to perform under pressure and assess their decision-making skills, tactical and operating skills and ability to collaborate and work across an organisation.  The center provides a structured leadership-assessment experience that allows executives to receive valuable feedback through simulations, personality and aptitude assessments and structured exercises.  The core assessment process is in the business simulations, where executives work in teams to solve problems, innovate ideas and make decisions on how to conduct their business in a virtual marketplace.
