London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is a specialist school that focuses on making a global impact and encouraging students from all over the world to part-take in their educational experience.  The business school performs research in the areas of sociology, anthropology, accounting and finance and was founded in 1895 by Beatrice and Sydney Webb.  LSE has produced 16 Nobel prize winners and has become one of the foremost social science universities in the world. The business school has a student body of 9,300 full-time students from over 145 different countries and has an alumni base of over 100,000 members.  34 past or present world leaders have taught at LSE and 31 current members of the UK House of Commons and 42 members of the House of Lords have taught or studied at LSE. Engagement has always been the focus of the business school’s mission, seeking to engage the wider community through a diverse range of activities.  This is achieved through hiring high-media-profile influencers and performing cutting-edge research that is presented in public debates and news. In 2008, the UK Research Assessment Exercise found LSE to have the highest percentage of world leading research of any university in the UK.  The research was performed in individual areas, specifically economics, law, social policy and European studies.  The business school has one of the largest concentrations of economic, financial and social science research out of any university in the world and offers 16 different research centres, including the Centre for Economic Performance and the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment.

The TRIUM Global Executive MBA Programme is designed to prepare executives for the boardroom and address global economic, social and political forces that shape the world today.  The programme asks questions such as “what will the role of the city be in tomorrow’s corporate strategy”, or “how can partnerships between corporate and non-profit sectors create profit for all?”.  The programme is offered in cooperation with New York University Stem School of Business and HEC School of Management, Paris. The programme contains a unique, international curriculum that is designed for senior-level executives to think and act in a socioeconomic and geopolitical context.  It is 17 months long with ten weeks being out of the office and seven weeks completed remotely.  There are six on-site modules that incorporate a learning approach of in-person classroom time and independent study.  Below is the schedule.

The programme consists of 500 live classroom hours and contains 15-20 hours a week of independent study that includes readings, assignments, case studies, group work and a final strategic project.  The average age of participants is 40 years old with 15 years of work experience. A minimum of ten years work experience is required and participants must be fluent in English.
